CHARACTER INFO
Name: Misaya Reiroukan
Gender: Female
Source: Fate/Prototype
Canon point: Immediately before Saber is summoned
Age: 16
History: Wiki link
Appearance: Just your average Japanese schoolgirl in hot pants and thigh boots.
Personality:
Misaya is described as a noblewoman, both elegant and cruel. Appearances are very important to her, and her desire to cultivate a refined air about herself influences her actions and behavior in a number of ways. She seals away her Servant's Noble Phantasm, thinking its sure-kill ability is too crude—even though she'll die if she doesn't win the Holy Grail War. She formulates her strategies with elegance in mind, passing up opportunities just because they don't suit her sense of aesthetics, and she says she refuses to choose between her life and her ideals.
However, in spite of this choosiness, it would be entirely wrong to say she is toothless. She is a sadist, and she considers blood and guts to be part of her ideal of elegance. To say she isn't squeamish is an understatement—she feeds her familiars raw and bloody meat from her hands, and she instructs her Servant to torture another in front of his Master, saying that she loves the sound of other people's screams above all else and that she will crush Saber's skull herself to finish the job. When things go according to her plans, she is absolutely ruthless.
She is intelligent as well, despite her tendency to overvalue appearance. She can be quite crafty, and she is a top-tier magus. However, arrogance comes along with her intelligence and skill. She looks down on other people as being beneath her, rarely even deigning to speak to her peers and keeping them at a distance. Despite her lack of regard for others, though, she doesn't care much for insulting them without reason, referring to doing so as being "a lowlife's affair." She is much more likely to turn her nose up and snub them—unless they give her some reason to do otherwise, in which case her cruelty extends to a sharp tongue as well.
Misaya also can't stand to be second best, meaning that when she has decided on performing a task or learning a skill, she applies the full extent of her ability to doing so. Even though she has little interest in mundane topics, she is near or at the top of her class in the high school she attends. This same prideful nature means she responds to being bested poorly, to say the least; she has been shown to do things like chuck glasses at Lancer and refer to him as being less useful than a dog when he fails at tasks she gives him. She also can't stand to be disrespected, and especially not for her age or gender, as evidenced by the fact that she chose to summon Lancer because he had been killed by a woman and should therefore understand "how scary a woman can be."
Despite her cold and cruel nature, however, Misaya does have some vulnerabilities. She just does her very best to hide them, tending to deflect inquiries about her feelings or obfuscate her emotional reactions. When an enemy Master, Ayaka, apologizes for killing one of her familiars, saying that Misaya must feel lonely or sad to have lost something that was also a pet and companion to her, Misaya is quick to turn the conversation around to how that kind of attitude makes Ayaka a failure as a Master. She consciously reminds herself that forming an emotional attachment to Lancer would be pointless or even detrimental, and she blames herself growing sentimental over her approaching death on Lancer's gloominess. She's the kind of person that hates showing her weaknesses to anyone and rarely acknowledges them to herself.
Abilities:
Misaya is a top-class magus, meaning she is skilled in magecraft as seen in the Nasuverse, with Misaya specializing in runes, black magic/witchcraft, and summoning spells. She has also been shown to be able to create familiars, preferring to use black hounds for such, and turn one of the rooms in her house into what essentially amounts to a pocket dimension in order to seal her Servant's Noble Phantasm inside, a very impressive feat that indicates she is most likely skilled in the creation of bounded fields. The output and number of magic circuits she has are both high, meaning she is able to utilize a large amount of magical energy in her spells.
She also has a contract with her Servant Lancer. When active, this contract gives her some level of mental connection with him, and some of her magical energy is siphoned off and fed to him to keep him materialized. Her Command Seal (located on the back of her neck) both symbolizes this contract and allows her the ability to give a total of three absolute orders to Lancer that must be obeyed—and once given may even allow him to surpass his ordinary limits in order to fulfill them. For example, if she used one to tell him to come to her side immediately, he would be able to do so regardless of the distance between them. The more specific an order, the better it works.
